I have massaged many people in my York based massage therapy practice and have found many, many different types of muscle tone. Some people’s muscles are very flacid, others are very tight. Somewhere in between is the perfect muscle tone. I can often tell within seconds if someone is good at sport just by the tone of their muscles. Age can make a difference in muscle tone, which can deteriorate with time. But muscle tone can nearly always be improved with massage. Over-tight muscles can be released. Flacid muscles can be improved. Muscular knots can be massaged away, not only improving muscle tone, but also increasing your sense of well being as you feel more relaxed.
